Richard Strauss

Richard Strauss(1864-1949), German composer. He studied piano and violin from an early age and took lessons in theory and harmony. In 1874 he entered the Ludwigsgymasium in Munich and also studied at Munich University. He conducted Meiningen Court Orchestra, Munich Court Opera, also in Berlin, Vienna etc. He composer operas, symphonies, symphonic poems, concertos, chamber music and songs.
